We had a week away near the snow in Turangi last week. It got off to a bit of a shaky start, as I was recovering from a nasty bout of the 'flu, but by the end of the week we were up for the mountain, and put the boys on skis as we did last year. The first day was fine, but the second day they just 'clicked' and had an awesome time! We were on the snow from 10am til nearly 4pm and they were little stars, skiing down the beginners slope with us running along to keep up, then back up the chairlift and off again! It was so cool, we are hoping to get back down for a couple more days in a few weeks time to give them another go, and who knows, this time Bruce and I might actually mange to get on some skis too! BYRON'S 4!!

Byron had a 'skeleton party' for his 4th birthday at the beginning of August. Here are a few snaps of them during the setting up - I managed to find the skeleton pyjamas at the very last minute, having waded through a heap of shops and just about resigned to having to try and fashion some myself, I felt like I'd won the lottery when I saw them in the very last shop!!! Would have been much easier a bit closer to halloween I think...
