The weekend before Easter, Bruce and I had our first weekend away on our own since having the boys. We flew down to Queenstown on Friday lunchtime and came back Sunday evening. If was absolutely fantastic!! So lovely and relaxing to just wander around, sleep in, go for drives around the beautiful areas surrounding Queenstown, walk by the lake and have lazy brunches and a long and leisurely lunch at a beautiful vineyard. I didn't have to cook, prepare or think about any meals, snacks or drinks for two and a half days, I just sat down and they were put in front of me - absolute bliss! The boys had a brilliant time with their Nana and Poppa, plus some visits with Aunty Debs, Granddad and Uncle Olly, Auntie Margaret, Nan and Aunty Neen along the way. They had their first sleepover at Nana and Poppa's house and loved it, so we are hoping to make it a regular occurance :-)

In the 'couch that folds into a bed' at Nana and Poppa's house. Not looking too stressed at the absence of Mum and Dad!

Recently Connor's pictures have been becoming more recognisable and I really liked this self portrait he did on the whiteboard (bit generous with the hair, as you will see below).

I like Connor's hair a little tousled and not too short, so imagine my horror to find him cutting his hair with his paper scissors! Somehow he managed to get it almost down to the scalp and right at the front, so there was absolutely no disguising it. Unfortunately, there was nothing for it but to match the rest of his head...

...and this is the result. I can't wait for it to grow back, he looks like he's about to be drafted or should be wearing steel capped boots! Thank goodness the dimples are still there...
