At playcentre our terms follow the primary school year, so we are now a week into the two week mid term break. Here are a few pics from the last week of term. The boys are getting so much out of it, and now that Connor goes to four sessions a week (two with me and Byron and two on his own), he loves it, has made lots of new friends and become more confident this year.

Byron 'fishing' with a magnet, but is much more interested in the fact that it sticks to a metal post.

Connor and his friends have been obsessed with ropes this term, and tying up the 'fort' (the climbing playground) in whatever way they can, hoisting things up, tying knots and making swings and 'traps'. It's been fascinating to watch this interest develop, and I've been really impressed at the level of cooperation amd communication between the boys when they are trying to figure out how to do something that requires several of them to achieve (such as hoisting up the tyre below).
