We do have a great time at playcentre, and our last day of the term was no exception. With one of our children graduating to school, we had a party, and he chose a jungle theme. I got out the facepaints and Byron asked me to paint him as a green tiger. This matched with a leapord outfit was very cute!

Connor decided to paint his own face...

Then they both decided to paint my face. At playcentre pretty much anything goes, and the play is all very much child led. It can get very messy!

They did a fairly comprehensive job and I decided to postpone my planned trip to the dairy for milk on the way home! I was a bit worried that I might cause an accident if any other drivers glanced over my way. Thank goodness it's only a few minutes drive from where we live!

I am hoping that now the madness of November/December has finished, that I might have more time to update this more often! About two weeks before Christmas we went and chose our Christmas tree, and the boys loved hanging on the decorations.

The weather has been getting better and better, really hot and perfect for the park and playing in the fountains!

Connor was very proud of a bird feeder he made in carpentry at playcentre, so we brought it home and hung it in the lovely frangipani tree in the garden. It took the birds a while to find the seed, but they seem to be coming more and more.

A big change with the arrival of the boys bunk beds! Byron has been ready for a 'big boy bed' for quite some time, and we've been talking about getting bunks for a while. They took to them straight away, and just love them. The first few days Byron spent most of his spare time when we were home just lounging around in his bed.
