HAPPY BIRTHDAY CONNOR - 4 TODAY!!! (1ST NOV)

Wow, Connor is 4 and had an absolutely fantastic birthday weekend. Saturday morning woke up and opened his presents. His bike was his 'early' birthday present, but we also got him a 'brain box', which is lots of circuitry you can clip together to make bulbs light up, motors work etc, and he absolutely loves it. He's played with it every day since, and particularly enjoys making the radio, which he can do himself now by looking at the diagram.

The lucky birthday boy had two parties - one on Saturday with his friends, and a BBQ on Sunday with all the family, so it was rather a busy weekend! Here are some photos of the Saturday, unfortunately I didn't get many of Sunday, I think we were too busy enjoying the gorgeous sunshine!

Uncy Paul and Granddad came round for morning tea, and bestowed more gifts upon him. This time it was 'trains that go round by themselves', something he has coveted for a long time. He is fairly obsessed with anything battery operated, so we might just be asking for packets of batteries for Christmas at the rate he's going!

The afternoon was party time, with eight little boys and eight parents. Originally it was supposed to be a picnic in the park, but the weather was very dubious and threatening to rain just as we would have arrived, so decided to have it at our place instead. Connor had a great time and loved the house cake I made him (his request, not sure why but has been the same for months so thought I'd better do it!). He also had a number 4 cake next to it, as we were having a party for family the following day. I managed to dish up the 4 cake and rescue the house for some minor repairs to bring it out again on Sunday!

With his best friend Angus

After all that cake there was time for a bit of 'beany throwing'. Our giant beanbag has become quite legendary amongst their friends, and I am often called upon to throw them into beany.
