Byron's language and reasoning skills are coming along in leaps and bounds, which I am reminded of every day. My first reminder today was when we were making breakfast. I had asked Byron if he wanted banana on top of his porridge, and he had said yes. When presented with his breakfast, he said he didn't want banana. 'But when I asked you if you wanted banana on top, you said yes' I reminded him. He kept insisting that he hadn't when I said he had, then after a while he turned to me and said, very earnestly and seriously 'Mummy, you are telling a lie'. Luckily I wasn't eating at the time, as it would have ended up all over the walls. It's just not the sort of thing I expect to hear from a just over two year old!!!
