Connor had his first morning without me at playcentre a couple of weeks ago, and it went really well. He was very excited, here he is waiting to be picked up by one of the other mums he knows very well. Playcentre has been great for his confidence, as he loves going there and also to his friend's houses to play. In fact, he's usually disappointed when I tell him we're going in our car and he's not being picked up in someone elses!

I have just started looking after my goddaughter Lily two days a week while her mum goes to work. She comes to us on Monday and Tuesday, from about 8:15am to 2:30pm, and so far things are good. I have just Lily and Byron on a Monday while Connor is at playcentre, and all three on a Tuesday, but so far we have managed to find lots to do.
Dad read Connor his books while he was round the other night, and decided to add a new twist by 'singing' the story, while Connor strummed away on the guitar. It was quite a sight, especially when Byron wandered in and started dancing to it, they looked like a band of gypsies!
