The other night while Bruce was giving the boys dinner:

Connor: I'm going to build a new Mummy
Bruce: What are you going to use to build the new Mummy?
Connor: I'm going to use two screw drivers and lots of tools and lots of things
Bruce: Why do you want to build a new Mummy?
Connor: Because that Mummy's too old

sometime later after I'd finished hitting Connor with a tea towel...

Nicky: and are you going to build a new Daddy too?
Connor: I don't have enough things to build a new Daddy

Byron just has to be in on all the action, and doesn't want to miss a thing. He copies everything Connor and any other older children do, as the following photo shows. For some reason Connor likes running around at the moment with his underpants on his head, and the other evening as soon as he had them on Byron appeared with a pair on his head too. No idea where he found them...

Quite a few of our neighbours houses are for sale at the moment. I'm hoping it's nothing to do with the weirdo's next door!

A bit of dancing

Monday, February 11

The new term started last week, so we were back to Playcentre on Thursday. I don't think I've mentioned it on here before, but we've been going since April last year. It's a parent cooperative that provides early childhood education, but the parents are the educators, so the children go there instead of preschool/kindy etc until school. The parents have to do training to meet government requirements, so it's a big commitment timewise with training, meetings etc, but they can go from birth and Connor and Byron both love it. We all go two mornings a week, and Connor is going to do a third morning this term on his own. He'll be going without me for the first time next week, but he knows lots of the others really well so I don't think it will be a problem.

The boys painting

But body painting seemed far more interesting after a while

It's been so incredibly hot, so the water slide was a great way to cool down!

Couldn't resist putting this photo in. Byron's face is so red as he'd been laughing and giggling his head off at Connor, who had been spitting bath water in his face. Every time he did it he sent Byron into hysterics, it was priceless.
