A big day for Connor today, with the arrival of his first 'big boy bed'. He's starting off with the bed Bruce had when he was young, which Pat and Bob brought over today. He spent most of the day jumping on it, then we went out and bought a new duvet cover (Thomas the Tank Engine of course!), and he was thrilled! Happily climbed into it tonight and went to sleep - let's hope it lasts!

Byron and Poppa take a rest from unloading the bed. Byron's trying to eat a kiwifruit that he swiped from the fruit bowl. I haven't come across anything he won't eat yet, he loves his food! Tonight I tried him on some leftover salmon and broccoli pasta, which was rather heavy on the garlic but he scoffed it all down quite happily.

I was treated to a fabulous surprise afternoon tea by my friend Andrea today. It was a belated birthday present and Ange took me to the Langham Hotel, where they serve little sandwiches, scones and cakes on beautiful tiered silver cake stands and you relax in huge armchairs as you decide which of the over twenty different teas and coffees you will choose. It was divine!!! We were very tempted to stay on and start on the wine menu, but thought we'd better get back to the real world!

Byron is enjoying walking around with Connor's old trolley. He's good at going in a straight line, but hasn't quite managed turning yet

Connor's first photo (a self portrait!) - we had no idea he's taken it until I did a download from the camera
