Hooray hooray the planting started today! It's going to take about four days for all the plants and trees to be planted, and today the front garden was filled with little star jasmine plants. It will smell amazing once they're flowering. Hasn't been mulched yet so not much to look at, will add some photos in the next few days. All very exciting!

It's no wonder the boys are such good sleepers!

Connor loves to help Bruce in the garden! We're really excited as the planting of the garden is due to start in the next week or two - about 500 plants are going to be put in!

First lovely smiles!

Well we've been to see the digger nearly every afternoon and are now on first name terms with the driver, who has even given me his card so I can call to check which road they're working on each day!!! Remembered to take the camera today so here are a couple of photos...

Friday, September 8

I think Connor had the highlight of his month, possibly his year today when he got to sit inside a digger! I think he has already had a sneaky sit in one before when he was with Granddad, but this was a bit different as the driver actually asked him if he wanted to go inside. He absolutely adores diggers and always spots them before me whenever we're driving anywhere. There has been some road work being done a few streets down from us, so we went for a walk yesterday afternoon to look at the digger. When I suggested we go again today Connor was beside himself with excitement and just kept repeating 'dig dig dig' as he literally ran the entire way! We got there just as they were about to finish, so saw lots of digging happening, then the driver said Connor could climb inside as he was off for the day. Connor wanted me in there as well, so we ended up sitting in it for about 10 minutes, Connor on my lap playing with all the gear sticks and levers. We did get a few strange looks from cars driving by! If only I'd had my camera...

HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!

Photos from this morning with all the boys in bed. This evening we had our families round for a roast dinner, a combined effort from Bruce's sister Debs and I.
