It's hard to believe Byron will be four weeks old tomorrow! Things are going brilliantly, he's a very cruisy baby, an absolute dream! So far he's slotted really well into Connor's routine and is asleep while Connor has his afternoon sleep, then they both have a bath and go to bed at the same time at night, so Bruce and I still have our evenings which has been fantastic. I'm up once or twice a night to feed him, but only for about 45 mins and he's straight back to sleep. Hope he keeps it up! It was a bit of a shock to the system last Monday on Bruce's first day back at work, but it's getting easier every day and we've still been going to Connor's morning activities, which is really good. Connor has been great - really helpful and likes helping me to change nappies etc. He brings a pile of books for us to read together when I'm feeding Byron or we sit in his room playing with his toys. Of course he has his moments, but they've been very few and far between so far and he's been very gentle with his little brother. Just hoping it can continue!

One very chilled out baby!

Bathtime together

Connor having lipstick applied by our nextdoor neighbour (he is rather obsessed with putting on chapstick and I had to stop him trying to apply a gluestick to his lips at playgroup yesterday!)

A couple of new photos...

He's a very alert baby, still eating and sleeping well

Dad pretending to throw Connor off our new deck and catching him just in time (Connor seems to be a bit of a dare devil, I'm developing rather a lot of grey hair!!!)

I've just realised I haven't posted the poor little guy's name on here, now he's got one! Bruce sent out an email so I forgot all about it. He is Byron Alexander, the name Bruce has wanted for months, but it took me a bit longer to come round to it. Having said that, I now love it and it's as though he's never been anything else. He continues to eat and sleep like an absolute dream, which is absolutely fantastic!!

Here are a few more photos from last weekend, he was 10 days old (can't believe he's two weeks today!).

Definitely takes after Bruce in the sleep department!

OK here come the photos - there will probably be more updates in the next few weeks than in the last few months, but they change so quickly at this age!

So far sleeping very well - long may it last!

An attempt to keep him awake for feeding, but obviously not particularly successful!

Connor has been very gentle and likes stroking his brother's hair

Connor's first look at his new brother

HE'S ARRIVED!!! Our beautiful but still nameless little boy was born by c section at 7:37 on 3rd August. He weighed 6lb 15oz (3.15kg) and we are completely smitten by him. I arrived home from hospital yesterday and am feeling really good, apart from being pretty tired. Hobbit (as was his name in the womb) has been feeding and sleeping well, apart from deciding that about 10pm is the time to suddenly wake up for a few hours. Trying to sort that out asap! Very happy to be home and Connor is being wonderful, taking a lot of interest in what's going on and helping me with nappy changes etc. We're so lucky to have two such beautiful boys! Glad to have Bruce home for two weeks and have been trying to catch up on a bit of sleep during the day. I've been trying to upload photos but it doesn't seem to be working tonight, so will try again tomorrow.

Things are going well in the garden, the builder started the deck today.

A couple of shots of Connor and Nan (his Great Grandmother who's 93), taken today while visiting Nan, Uncle Ollie and Aunty Margaret. The magnifying glass seemed to be a hit!
