Well things are finally happening in the garden at long last!!! We sorted out details with our landscape designer and the contractors began work nearly a week ago. They're very speedy and we've been extremely impressed with them so far. It's awesome to see things happening and hopefully most of it will be finished before the baby arrives, which is fantastic. We had a digger in the garden all day yesterday, which fascinated Connor - he loves anything to do with diggers, trucks or cars...

More good news is that Bruce now has a permanent job. He's staying at the law firm he has been contracting at, but they have restructured and given Bruce a permanent position- quite a relief considering how much the garden is going to cost!!!

Connor seems quite fascinated by my ever increasing bump at the moment, and frequently wants to pull up my shirt to examine it. I've told him there's a baby in there, but am sure that doesn't really mean much to him at his tender age!

Sometimes it's hard to know who enjoys playing with the lego the most, although it's fairly obvious who takes it more seriously, looking at the before and after Connor shots below!!!!

I now have a constant companion at the kitchen bench - I was very impressed at Connor dragging a play table and upturned box all the way from his room to climb on and see what I was up to. I'm not really getting that much done anymore, as all the cutlery in the top drawer is routinely pulled out and dropped into the washing up water, along with anything else that happens to be within reach...

Sunday, May 7

I'm having an extremely proud mummy moment every Sunday evening at the moment, and can't resist mentioning it on here. Just over a year ago, when Connor was nearly five months old, he was filmed (by Uncle Paul) to appear in the opening credits of a programme called 'Auction House', as three generations of baby Dunbar Sloane (the name of the owners of the auction house featured in the programme). I'd all but forgotten about it about six months ago, as it didn't look like appearing on the TV at all, but last Sunday the series started and yes Connor appears three times in the opening! Anyone in NZ who wants to take a look can check out 'Auction House' at 7pm channel 1 on Sundays. Very exciting for me but probably not for anyone else :-)

Hanging out in the beanbag with a couple of other little ones at our coffee group this week (that haircut makes him look so much older!)
