I made a rather big mistake this morning. Connor still has two sleeps a day and usually goes down about 9:30am for an hour or so. Pat and I were going shopping so I thought I'd take a gamble and hope Connor would have a sleep in the car on the way over there, so we could get there a bit early before the crowds. However when we arrived Connor was bright eyed and rearing to go, having made no sign of going to sleep. About an hour later the poor guy had a meltdown he was just so tired. Couldn't stop him crying and he just wouldn't go to sleep in the buggy, he was past it and well into overtired mode. Eventually decided to go home and he had a little nap in the car (for about 15 minutes!). He was a bit manky for the rest of the day, nothing like his usual self, even after his afternoon sleep (which wasn't very long either). We were both quite exhaused by the end of the day, but a walk up to the park to feed the roosters perked us up. Both Connor and the roosters are getting quite at ease with each other!!

I won't be making that mistake again, sometimes you forget how unable to cope the little ones get when they're overtired. When Connor has his sleeps everyone is happy! I did feel very guilty about the whole thing...
